The past few days have been quite fantastic, well, maybe except for today.
Finally the weekend's here, and I am in dire need for some rest. It's been a really long week and I would really love to enjoy a longer sleep-in on sunday morning.
The friday morning sun was brimming with its glorious warming rays, shining them upon the Mass Rapid Transit that brings millions of young and old to their desired destination.
I was there in one out of the six cabins, squeezing with the hundreds of working adults heading towards city hall. Sometimes this lingering thought hits me. Is it so hard to squeeze out a little space for someone who's trying hard to get onto the cabin so he/she could be on time for work? Where is the unity that our fellow Singaporeans displayed during National Day? I read in somewhere which quotes the controversial question, "Are Singaporeans only united on National Day?" Think, people. THINK.
I was throbbing with anticipation while i was strolling my way to the 179 berth, reason being today is friday, which means the weekend i've been longing for is near.
Saturday is the big day - MAHJONG! my weekly dosage of mahjong is finally round the corner.
back to my day again. reached my workplace @ bout 9.15. Punched in my time and started to prepare for work. "ahhhh~~ CHU!", unfortunately was my first greeting to my colleagues. Had breakfast together, and things started to change for the worse. Right then, i knew the flu bug had gotten hold of me. It started to devour every inch of me, making me feel weak all over. Warm on the surface but deep down inside, im feeling the chill.
At 12.30pm, i decided to call it a day. Told Amy(my female boss) that i had to go, i can't stay any longer. So i left - quickly. 179 was too packed with NTU students so i walked out to take 99 at Xingnan Pri. It was a breathtaking bus journey to Jurong East Interchange.
160 was not in service, guess its just my luck. Finally got home @ bout 3pm. Napped. And took panadol for cold relief.
And poof! I felt so much better.
